Suson Park

We decided to take a trip to Suson Park to play. Caleb, Rylynn, and their moms met us there for a little picnic. After lunch, we took the kids over to the playground for some fun. There were swings, slides, toys, etc, but of course rocks were the most exciting things! All of the kids had to stick rocks in their mouths continuously. We decided to take a walk down to the barn to see the animals. There were a lot of cows, horses, and donkeys to see. Owen didn't really seem all that interested in the animals though. I was changing Owen's diaper at the Mullens' house and found rocks stuck to his butt! It was pretty funny to see all these rocks fall out of his diaper.

Happy Ten Months!

Owen is 10 months old today! He's getting so big, so fast! It's so exciting to see how much he changes everyday.

He has such a personality now! He knows exactly what will get us to laugh. We're also learning exactly what will make him mad. He's beginning to throw little fits if he doesn't get his way! Fun stuff for mom and dad!

This month, Owen was 20.6 lbs and 31.75 inches long! He's in 45th percentile for weight and 97th percentile for height. He's going to be a tall, skinny guy like his dad!

He's into everything too! A few of his favorite things to play with include wine bottles, Bailey's bowls, magazines, and toilet paper. He has a room full of toys and could care less about them!

Cards Game

Mike got tickets to the game from work and of course it has to be one of the hottest nights. We had good seats on the third base side, sixth row. Owen could have cared less about the game going on. He was more interested in talking to the kids behind us and grabbing their drinks. We took him to the Family Pavillion to play and had to drag him away. They have a bunch of oversized baseball items and a "field" for kids to climb on. He had a blast! He'd crawl from one end to the other and back again. We ended up leaving in the middle of the 8th because it was hot, late, and we were losing 8-1. It was a good time, even though the Cards lost. It was Owen's 4th game, and so far they've won 2, lost 2.

G2G

This afternoon we went over to Marcey's and Kaden's house for a playgroup. Owen had a ton of fun playing with all of Kaden's toys. He also liked watching the older girls run around and play. It was a fun group of mommies and kids and we hope that we can make the next one. I'm not sure what Owen's fascination with fireplaces is, but he was all over the mantle at their house today. I guess because we don't have one at home, he needs to take advantage of them at other people's houses.

Family Night

We started the day out by meeting Michelle, Liam, Melissa, and Caleb for lunch and for some walking. Poor Caleb ended up leaving because he had an ear infection. Hopefully he's feeling better now!

Friday nights at the Magic House are Family Night, so we decided to take Owen. I hadn't been to the Magic House in a few years, so I wasn't really sure what they had that would appeal to Owen. He ended up having a blast! They had a special room for kids 1-6 and one for little guys 24 months and younger. It was great because there were no big kids running around, so Owen could just go!

Monkey Joe's

We went to Monkey Joe's again today because it was sooo hot outside (we broke the previous record of 104!)! We finally met up with Marcey and Kaden after months of talking about it. Mandy, Jace, Melissa, and Caleb also came along and had a great time. I was able to jump with Owen this time and I think he had more fun this way. He made it out of the toddler area and on to bigger and better things! The twisty slide was fun, but he wasn't too sure about the other one. I think it was too big of a drop for him! We headed to Bread Co. for lunch afterwards which was yummy. Owen had a great time playing with his friends. Sorry, no pictures this time, Mommy had the camera, but didn't take any pictures!

Mike stayed with Owen while I went to volleyball this evening. Owen was a little cranky when I left, and he ended up having a fever :( He had some Motrin and is sleeping now, but we'll call the doctor in the morning if he's still warm. Hopefully it just from teething and nothing too bad.

Birthday Party

Today Owen went to his first birthday party. His friend Liam turned one on Thursday and he had his party today. Before the party, Owen got his third haircut. He sat up in the chair all by himself! He didn't cry or move around very much at all. His hair looks much better now that it's not in his eyes. All of the kids had a good time playing with the balloons and Owen especially loved the tissue paper. Forget the toys, tissue papers much more fun! Some pictures from the party:
